Guia Epicureo is the first location-based Internet restaurant and bar guide for Buenos Aires, Argentina. Designed and developed by Mercury Creative, Guia Epicureo allows users to browse restaurants by cuisine type or neighborhood as well as by filtering from over 900 descriptive keywords.

Each restaurant listing is accompanied by an accurate map and detailed contact information along with important highlights including whether reservations are required, WiFi is available, smoking is permitted and whether the restaurant delivers. Guia Epicureo also provides direct links to every restaurant’s web site and a complete listing of nearby “after” bars so friends and couples can plan their entire evening.

Mercury Creative also developed a groundbreaking iPhone app that offers many of the services provided by the Web site. In addition the iPhone app provides an advanced geolocation feature that tells users which eating establishments are closest to their current location.

Mercury Creative was contracted to manage the design, development and roll-out of the TM Forum Online Community. Intended to bridge the gap between the development of TM Forum programs and those implementing the standards, the existing discussion forums were unable to bring those two parties together online. To address the lack of online collaboration Mercury Creative crafted a groups based social network system. Leveraging topic area discussions, top and group level blogs as well as member managed personal profile pages the new community has proved to be a stunning success.

Mercury Creative actively managed the roll-out of the social media solution and in less than a year the business network has grown to over 28,000 members, with new members joining at a rate of 1,000 per month. The rapid increase in community enrollment has brought about a new level of interaction in the TM Forum membership. Collecting only two-dozen posts a month in it’s previous form, the community now gives voice to nearly one thousand new questions, answers, ideas and solutions monthly.

To start off 2010 Mercury Creative has designed a revised interface for the TM Forum Online community. Based on a full year of metrics and user analytics, the revised interface is designed to even further increase user interaction and participation. The new interface will go live in the first quarter of 2010.
