The Democratic Voice of Burma (DVB) is a non-profit Burmese media organization based in Oslo, Norway. Run by Burmese expatriates, it makes radio and television broadcasts aimed at providing uncensored news and information about Burma (also known as Myanmar), the country's military regime, and its political opposition.

Beginning in 1992 with shortwave radio broadcasts the organization was able to reach millions of listeners. In 2005 DVB began a satellite broadcast in Burma, becoming the first free and independent Burmese language television channel.

In 2010 Mercury Creative was approached with the project of expanding their reach onto the internet. We provided DVB with a robust content management solution capable of handling the traffic loads DVB.no would experience. In addition our designers worked closely with DVB staff to produce clean, lightweight templates that are both fast loading and search engine optimized..

Guia Epicureo is the first location-based Internet restaurant and bar guide for Buenos Aires, Argentina. Designed and developed by Mercury Creative, Guia Epicureo allows users to browse restaurants by cuisine type or neighborhood as well as by filtering from over 900 descriptive keywords.

Each restaurant listing is accompanied by an accurate map and detailed contact information along with important highlights including whether reservations are required, WiFi is available, smoking is permitted and whether the restaurant delivers. Guia Epicureo also provides direct links to every restaurant’s web site and a complete listing of nearby “after” bars so friends and couples can plan their entire evening.

Mercury Creative also developed a groundbreaking iPhone app that offers many of the services provided by the Web site. In addition the iPhone app provides an advanced geolocation feature that tells users which eating establishments are closest to their current location.

Guia Epicureo: Buenos Aires Guia de Restaurantes

Mercury Creative was contracted to manage the design, development and roll-out of the TM Forum Online Community. Intended to bridge the gap between the development of TM Forum programs and those implementing the standards, the existing discussion forums were unable to bring those two parties together online. To address the lack of online collaboration Mercury Creative crafted a groups based social network system. Leveraging topic area discussions, top and group level blogs as well as member managed personal profile pages the new community has proved to be a stunning success.

Mercury Creative actively managed the roll-out of the social media solution and in less than a year the business network has grown to over 28,000 members, with new members joining at a rate of 1,000 per month. The rapid increase in community enrollment has brought about a new level of interaction in the TM Forum membership. Collecting only two-dozen posts a month in it’s previous form, the community now gives voice to nearly one thousand new questions, answers, ideas and solutions monthly.

To start off 2010 Mercury Creative has designed a revised interface for the TM Forum Online community. Based on a full year of metrics and user analytics, the revised interface is designed to even further increase user interaction and participation. The new interface will go live in the first quarter of 2010.

Coripa is a Buenos Aires based civil engineering company specializing in controlling coastal erosion. Mercury Creative put together a new corporate identity package for Coripa, along with an updated logo reflecting their unique expertise.

NatureisWaiting.com was a proposed website and mobile application system for outdoor enthusiasts. The interface was designed to allow users to map out their routes, send them to their mobile phones and purchase the needed equipment all in one easy to use web site.

Pat Rego, Inc. requested that Mercury Creative supply a new web site design for their Spring 2009 fashion line. Mercury Creative carefully crafted a design and page layout that allows the style and textures of the Pat Rego fashion line to shine through.

Validas enlisted Mercury Creative to design a new website showing the ease of use of their site as well as impart a sense of fun into the process. Mercury Creative provided the design and some HTML assistance in coding the layouts. The website has since been redesigned using elements from the Mercury Creative design.

Mercury Creative made the website and online store for Magnalube, a manufacturer of industrial lubrication grease. The website and online store were both designed and built by Mercury Creative. The design needed to be modern as well as highlight the technical and medical uses of the grease. www.Magnalube.com

A client beginning 2002, TeleStrategies turned to Mercury Creative to develop the website for their new conference initiative, ISS World. With conferences world wide the design had to speak to a highly technical and international audience.
